While my world here seems to be coming apart, composing seems like the only meaningful thing I can do. Every time I try to do write in words how it feels to be living in a country where the governments on both sides and many of their supporters believe that killing of many innocent people is okay. I hope that the pendulum of history will swing back and ideals of democracy, mutual respect will be the norm again. It feels like the only thing I can do is try to make sure these ideas are kept alive and not trampled on during these dark times. Next week a new piece for solo singer and electronics will be presented in a festival here. I hope to have a recording and link to it here.
