A new work looking for a space
About a year ago a curator asked me for a sound installation for a new space. We worked together and I created a six channel work. But about two weeks before the scheduled opening she abruptly informed me that the show is cancelled, because the music is “too disturbing.” So the piece is looking for a new home. And while I am at it, here is a stereo version of a piece for 12 channels I created two years ago as a response to Stockhausen’s Hymnen. It was presented in NY as part of Michael Schumacher’s series at the Avery Fischer center at NYU. It too is looking for another space that can accommodate the 12 loudspeakers.
